Ah, spring is in the air and the babies are starting to appear. May the warm weather only last.

It was nice and warm today. Got two walks, saw the heron on both of them. First sighting of the quail family and some baby ducks, though not recently hatched…easily 2+ weeks old.

Day 366, Thursday February 26
The puddles in the driveway were iced back over this morning, and it snowed on and off. Brody and I got our morning walk, I did walk at noon (it wasn't snowing then, thankfully) and the hubby, the pup and I walked after work. My back was kinda flared this afternoon so I'm impressed how much walking I got today: 4.95 miles. Forgot to log in yesterday, it was 4.71.

Hoping it's warmer where you all are than here. Our brief warm spell is over.

Not as good as yesterday, but I made the minimum. Had a Chiro appt so no walk during the day. Decent walk in the evening but it was COLD!

Day 363, Monday, February 23
So it warmed up. You guessed it--it snowed. Not a lot, but it was dumping the huge goofy flakes while Brody and I walked before work. Enough to make the roads slick and to make the sidewalk need de-slopping. It was melting pretty good by my noon walk, and mud again by the after work walk. Total today: 4.34 miles

Did we mess up our count somewhere? Didn't we start the count on March first 2008 when we started the Appalachian Trail? Color me confused. Or Math-challenged.
Another -15C morning (that seems to be +5F). I stayed in the house till the sun made it over the mountain and then walked with the pup and the camera. Posted my photos In My Little World. Then the clouds came back in and we felt rather bleh and didn't go out for a walk elsewhere, so another (shorter) walk down the road in late afternoon. Total today: 3.99 miles.
