Day 427, Tuesday April 28

Here's a picture of us from our Sunday hike at Castle Craig, Connecticut. Kat took the picture looking down from the top of one of the sharp ledges we had to climb. I think this is the one where I had to stop. The combination of late summer heat and early spring foliage gave an odd out-of-synch feeling to the day.

Yesterday was just as hot, but I didn't hike. 2.1 miles.

Day 426, Monday April 27

Yay! The daffodils are blooming. If they don't get frozen solid, they'll be doing well. The snow is most of the way back down the mountain. Brr.

Walked morning, noon, and night again today. And shivered. 4.17 miles.

Today, I played the part of a dedicated shopper :p. But it was nice enough that I did it in just a sweatshirt ;). Hope your weathers were just as pleasant.

Almost made the minimum, though I don't know whether any of it should count. Errands and walking through store after store looking at captain's beds. I can't put the sheets on our current one because it's a waterbed frame with hard wood sides all around the mattress and my hands aren't strong enough.

Day 424, Saturday 25 April

Hot day, and I mean really hot, as in not quite 90F. Far too hot for April, but the forsythia are blooming now, and the birches in the back yard are showing buds.

I walked 2.3 miles, a good part of it behind the lawn mower. No photos of me mowing the lawn, unfortunately.

This pussy willow going to seed is also one of Jim's from last Sunday afternoon.

Morning and afternoon walk with the pup (Jim, too, in the afternoon!) and some yard work. Today's steps: 4.88 miles

We didn't see the spider till we uploaded the photos Sunday night!

The rain last night was snow much of the way down the mountain, but we were *safe* from it. Pup and I walked in the morning and evening, plus I got a decent noon walk in today. A bit chilly, but okay. 5.24 miles
