Day 458, Friday May 29

Walked in the morning. When hubby got home from work we drove up to the lake so Brody could learn to swim. He loves the water and got somewhat coordinated fairly quickly. Then he barfed in the car on the way home. Yay. At dusk I took him for another walk. 4.23 for the day.

Wow, Mar, you think this can be accurate? I did walk morning, noon, and night. And counting 1.5 miles for an hour of Aquafit also, comes to 7.34 miles. That's...astonishing. However, I'm tired enough to believe it.

Day 456, Wednesday, May 27

Tuesday walked in the morning and a short walk at noon. Then Aquafit (which Mar convinced me to make up a step number for: 1.5 miles!), and a short walk after for the pup's sake. 5.09 total.

Today was just a couple regular walks, then Star Trek. 3.99 total.

Another nice day, but had meetings all day long, so did the elyptical for 3 miles in the morning. It is supposed to rain for 3 days, so I really should have mowed the lawn, but couldn't get motivated enough, so just walked 1.5 miles.

A regular weekday in Canada, I walked Brody before and after work, had a long noon walk, and yard work in the evening. All that seems to come to 6.1 miles.

Another busy day, this one with family. Drove over the mountain to spend my *birthday* (two days after the fact) with my two sisters, my mom, my daughter, my niece (and assorted hubbies and my grephew!) So walked Brody before we left and after we got home, plus bits of walking over there. Today: 4.83 miles.

We've had a busy few days (again!). Today that included the hands-on day of Jim's beekeeping course, meaning I was up at FIVE to walk Brody before we left. I've been walking lots all week. Today was 5.94 miles.

Thursday I thought I had meetings through lunch, so ran first thing in the morning 3.5, but meetings got canceled, so went for a walk 1 mile. Walked in the evening with Bonnie 1.5.

Friday took the day off, nice to have a 4 day weekend. Played golf with Bonnie, it was hot but fun, 4 miles (including walk down town afterwards). Walked 1.5 in the evening.

Beautiful day, ran 3.5 at lunch, went to the Red Sox game with Bonnie in the evening, walked 2 miles from parking.

So I'm the only Canadian in the bunch, but being as I'm the one writing the post, that's my title!

CONGRATULATIONS on being hesitant to cross the finish line, Neil. I applaud you and will wave at you in awhile when we pass on the trail. Not this week!

Busy wonderfully pleasantly hot spring day. Yep, a bit too much sun for my skin today, but I don't think any lasting damage was done. A full Brody walk in the morning, a half one in the evening, which puts about half today's miles around in the yard while we put in the last of the garden. Back to work (and reality) tomorrow. 5.95 miles.

It's been a couple of busy days here in BC. Friday I walked in the morning and afternoon with the pup, plus housecleaning and yard work to a total of 5.05 miles. My sis and her hubby arrived at supper time. This morning my BIL walked Brody EARLY!! and I gave him a shorter walk because *I* needed to stretch out when I got up, then we went for a hike by the river. Later, after the relatives had headed over the mountain to see our mother, we worked in the yard for several hours. Today's total: 5.66 miles.

Amazing I didn't get soaked as much rain as we had today. Brody and I walked in light mist this morning. Over noon it wasn't *quite* raining so I had a good walk. After work it poured buckets so we waited until after supper before hubby and I walked the pup. Total today 5.71 miles.

Day 439, Mother's Day!

I see I'm not the only one who's had a busy weekend and hasn't posted! The weather has been good here. Friday my niece and her 11-month-old went for early morning walk with me and Brody, and my daughter came for the afternoon one. (Then they all went home.) Friday: 4.29 miles. Saturday Brody and I did our two walks; in between Jim and I ripped apart our mudroom/laundry room to thwart the mouscapades we've been having. Hopefully we've ruined all their fun now. Saturday: 4.83 miles. Today, Mother's Day, Brody got his two walks plus I walked with Jim's mom and sisters after our Mother's Day barbecue. 5.53 today.

Storm after storm rolled through today. Brody and I got our walk in the morning in light drizzle, I did errands at noon with little steppage, and a walk with hubby and pup after work, just barely squeezed in between two drownpours. 4.1 total.

Day 432, Sunday May 3

Saturday was so warm here I actually rediscovered shorts and sandals. Hubby was out of town for the day, so Brody and I had a couple of walks and some yard work for a total of 5.07 miles.

Today was cool and mixed weather, some sunny, a bit of rain. But the walking looked a lot the same (2 walks & yardwork), only less at 4.38 miles.

The apricot tree is blooming. The kids used to call it the popcorn tree because that's what the blossoms look like. Too bad we've never gotten edible apricots off of it. (The tree itself grew as a volunteer out of the compost!)
