This is our group at the top of Mt. Pierce, the AT continues behind us. Mt. Eisenhour is right behind us, the kind of shark fin to the right is Monroe, Washington is the big thing behind it (you can kind of see the weather station towers on top), to the left are Adams and Madison, you are seening about 10 miles of the White Mountains.

Noticed I just passed Gentin Pound Shelter. This is the last shelter on the AT I've actually visited. I was there in '06 as part of a winter hike, nice shelter. The out houses in this area are cleaned by some called the Mahoosic Rover. So if you spot a one hiker in the area, make sure to say "nice out houses around here".

Should be in Maine tomorrow

Only a little over half a mile today. I slept half the day and didn't have much energy for the part I was awake. It seems to be a pattern of my recovery. I feel better every other day.

Great photo, Neil! (Minus the snow, of course...) It must be great fun to match virtual and actual miles.

With Jim home this week due to back problems, I haven't gotten my noon walk most days, and if he comes along after work, we don't go as far. So for Wed 3.27 miles (Brody and I kept going after Jim turned back.) Thursday J had a physio appt that ran into noon so I *took a hike* in town while waiting for him. Total: 4.57 miles
