Day 33

Just stopping in to say, "Howdy!" I'm logging some miles hiking up and down stairs with boxes and trudging around the yard trying to get weeds hacked down. For Hubby's birthday today, we walked the Warrenton antique show -- a large open air antique swap meet.

I'm tracking miles separately and will record them here later, but, except for Sunday when I only logged a little over a mile (I was driving from 5 am to 7 pm or so), I'm doing better than average.

Yes, this post means the DSL at the new house is active and functioning. Love the wireless access. We have the router hooked in upstairs, but we can each sit at the kitchen table with our laptops and wander around at will.

Ouch on the long drive, Jean, but the wireless and the swap meet sound grand. Glad you're having a good time.

Good long walk this morning, then went to the Carvel ice cream shop for 2-for-1 Sundaes with my hubby and youngest. Those miles do add up.

Congratulations to Val on Winning the Novel Proposal for "Demon: A Memoir", very impressive.

Ran 3.5 yesterday, Wednesday is my Pilates night, so no walk. Spent the night at the Cold Sprint Shelter, and it was cold, about 29 degrees this morning.

Yes, many congrats to Val :) That's so cool!!!

Yesterday I did 2 miles on the exercise bike and half a mile of walking around the yard and to my guitar lesson and stuff like that. Puts me a mile or so away from the road into Hiawassee; I need to decide whether to try to thumb a ride into town for supplies and a hot meal, or just keep plodding onward.

Long day staring at a monitor. Is there any wonder why I needed the long walk?

I really need to look up from the trail and appreciate the views. And figure out where I am.
