I was right about yard work adding mileage. Yesterday I started the garden and did 2.8 miles. Today I did 2.3 cleaning house.

Today was Jim's first day at his new job, so I got a good walk in early, a fair bit of walking at work, and a walk to the library and back to the shop at lunchtime.
Got home to find Jim and his dad in the midst of installing the hot water tank, so I worked in the yard for over an hour, hauling branches to the burning pile. It sure all added up!

And now I'm off for my first hot shower in my house since Monday the 14th! :)

Morning walk with my sisters. We saw the goslings and ducklings and a lot of other birds too as well as a variety of dogs. Then we went on a search for costume stuff for my oldest. I'd walked enough not to bother with a second walk :P.
Usual day, ran 3.5 and walked 1.5 in the evening with Bonnie.
Since whenever I told people about this activity they always ask if I've read "A Walk In The Woods" by Bill Bryson, I read the book on the plane flight to and from Pittsburgh. Not a very inspiring book, but at times very funny. At least now I can jut out my chin and manly say "Yes I've read the book" :)

Oddly enough, I started talking with Bonnie about the Appalacian Trail a couple years back because of that book. I agree with you entirely that it wasn't inspiring, but in a weird way it was. I mean, he didn't do everything right, he wasn't some grand expert, and yet he did walk the trail (okay not all of it, but you know what I mean :).)
While it was funny, I was actually surprised at how much was cynical and negative. Boy did that man have a cutting tongue on him. Admittedly this is memory from a couple years ago, but...
The usual 1.6 in the evening. I had a nasty sinus headache so even that was an effort. Hello spring. Why was I tired of winter again? At least snow doesn't have pollen.
