Day 87, Monday, May 26

Happy Memorial Day to all who celebrate it. We got home a little while ago. Too bad I can't count the miles we drove--I had almost 1,200 of those! Between yard sales, my cousin's wedding and reception, and harvesting herbs, I did 7 miles over the weekend. Boy, am I glad to be home.

This morning's Memorial Day parade was the last time David will march with the high school marching band. We walked most of the route with the band, 1.5 miles.

Yesterday, 2 miles playing 9 holes of golf.

I am soooo tired. I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

Sunday and Monday, 3.5 miles

Welcome back, EJ!

Got my morning walk in, and then random walking at work and such. I'll be glad when my life gets back to normal. Whatever that is.

Sunday golf 3 miles (I played all 14 holes) and a walk in the evening 1.5.

Monday, walked with Bonnie following the band 1.5, then ran 3 and walked in the evening 1.5.

Total: 10.5

But the big news is our lilac has finally bloomed. We took a cutting from our old house and planted it 13 years ago and it finally bloomed. Those things are really hard to kill!

Congrats on your lilac, Neil! The one in our yard is a cutting from one Jim's gramma had way back when. Funny how we keep the associations through the plants!
