Day 24

We walked around the pond today, 2.5 miles. It was tough walking; although lots of dog-walkers had beaten a path, the snow was still deep and soft and shifted underfoot. But the sun was out and the temp must have been at least 37-38F.

36.8 + 2.5 = 39.3

Today I learned that it is an estimated 5 million steps to walk the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.

5 million? Well...I guess that will work. My pedometer doesn't count that high, but it automatically resets itself at midnight, and I'm pretty sure I can't do that all in one day.

Today's count? 6110 steps for 2.7 miles.

Aerobic count is 4036 steps in 36 minutes.

Total miles: 78.8 miles

7633 steps today/2.8 miles
Total in February: 71.9

Walked to the end of the road and back before the muddy road thawed out this morning (that's about 4880 steps :P) and the rest was garnered over the course of the day.

Bonnie...5 million steps...you sure know how to encourage a gal.

Wow, that's a lot of steps. Another weak day for me, but I got a real workout in the morning walking in the snow.

Steps: 3093
Miles: 1.22
Total so far: 60.79

While I'd like to get back to real numbers, I'm taking it easy so I don't stay sick or get worse. Doesn't help that it was sleet/snowing all afternoon either :P.
