Here we are: Day 2!

I was able to make up for a slow start yesterday. Hershey and I got a walk first thing. Then I picked up tree branches in the backyard from the storm earlier in the week and moved them to the curb. Then I had to go to Lowe's to buy materials to patch a hole one branch had put in my roof. On the way back, I shopped for groceries. Then I did other sundry walking and managed to get 7612 steps in today for 3.4 miles.

Still not 10k as recommended, but I'm usually comfortable with getting that many steps in.

Wow, Jean! Amazing work :). You'll have to double back to see me :D.

Steps: 5803
Miles: 2.28

Went the basic walk, but went up the side path where we discovered cool ice patterns and a textbook that had swollen to 5 times its normal size and frozen into a solid block. Since it weighed around 40 lbs, we turned back and took the shortest way home so we can deliver it to the school. Then we went on errands and walked forever in Costco, an effort that left me exhausted. I took a 4-5 hour nap, depending on when we got home, and dehydrated. Guess I'm not quite up to 2.5 miles yet :).

Margaret, considering you're recovering from an illness, you might have overdone it.

Oh, and I'll remember to add the total on the next post.

LOL, what you don't realize is that on a normal day 2.5 is a bit of a push in the winter :).

Thanks for the reminder on the total as well.

Awesome work, ladies. Can I claim a quarter mile with no counting? Mostly trips up and down the stairs when moving my office.

You may count it, Erin. And in case anyone doesn't know, RWW's baby is just over a month old, so we'll cut her a bit of slack! :P
